Employment Opportunities in our Community
At Align Life Center, we believe in the right to employment for all. Accordingly, this includes opportunities in community based employment with people without disabilities and earning competitive wages. Individuals will be supported to make informed choices about their work and careers. Thus, they have the resources to seek, obtain, and be successful in community employment.
Align Life Center trainings for staff and people with disabilities include:
- Our Direct Support Professionals receiving training in best practices to help our participants find and keep jobs.
- Along with ensuring appropriate on-the-job training, our participants should receive guidance, if needed, in acquiring the social skills necessary in the workplace.
- Our participants will have training, including, if desired, driver’s education, to allow them to travel in the community so they can get to jobs and enhance their independence.
State and County waivers fund these services.
Pre-Vocational Services
Pre-vocational services are services that prepare a participant for paid or unpaid employment. These services include teaching concepts like compliance, attendance, task completion, problem-solving, and safety. Pre-vocational services are not job-task oriented, but are aimed at generalized results.
Community Based Workplace Assistance
Workplace Assistance services provide a range of personal care services and/or supports during paid competitive community employment. This helps participants accomplish tasks they would normally do for themselves if they didn’t have a disability including direct supervision, monitoring, training, education, demonstration, or support to assist with personal care.
Extended Services
Ongoing employment support services enable an individual to maintain integrated competitive employment in a community setting. Accordingly, those currently employed receive at or above minimum wage.

Both our industry-leading protocols are based on expert guidance thus designed to support your loved one’s health. Likewise, the staff nurses ensure a positive environment where individuals can be themselves!
